Regulated Recycling at Duderstadt
The following waste streams are regulated at the University of Michigan. These items CANNOT be disposed in the general trash and must be recycled.
BATTERIES – All types and sizes
Battery bucket located at Loading Dock. Contact OSEH HazMat at 763-4568 for disposal.
Departments may establish collections points within their offices to offer a more convenient location to staff. OSEH HazMat has 1-gallon pails available for this. When pail is full, please empty into the battery bucket at the loading dock. Alternatively, staff may contact Lori Castle at 615-3190 and she will coordinate with a DC student to empty the pail and return it.
LIGHT BULBS – All types sizes
Contact Zone Maintenance to request a pick-up at 647-2059.
ELECTRONICS – Any device with a circuit board, plasma display or liquid crystal display
Lori Castle coordinates monthly runs to Property Disposition for electronics and all other University property. Please contact Lori at 615-3190 for more information.
